2/4/2017 – Early Morning
They told me that early morning was a good time for paddling, so with a great deal of effort I thought I would give it a try.
Guess what? They were right. Beautiful mornings in Perth.
Calm river, very little wind. I met some lovely girls from the SUP Tonic Meet Up group, we paddled the river on a few different days.
A really calm morning on the Swan River. Look out for the waves that the boats make as they go past.
Paddling early in the morning.
A bit later in the day. Good stuff.
11/3/2017 – Another Fun Event with Action Outdoors Association
Event advertised – What better way to enjoy a Perth summer day than playing on the beautiful Swan River?
Firstly we were given a few tips on how to sail, but all very low key and “you’ll be right”. Here we are sailing towards the city of Perth from South Perth.
Yes, I am enjoying myself, it is good to be out on the river again.
Another view of the city from the catamaran.
A fun, relaxing morning.
18/12/2016 – Kite Surfing and Osprey Washing
Yet another beautiful day on the Swan River, everyone preparing to kite surf, wind surf or simply relax.
Always room for one more, but it is starting to look crowded.
A few wind surfers soar past.
Now what is this I see out on the Point Walter spit.
An Osprey taking a bath.
Not too cold, no one around, a quick duck under, feathers out.
Clean but rather wet.
Looking better, now off to dry out somewhere.
14/2/2016 – The girls meet up
So difficult to get everyone together, but we managed on Valentine’s Day to meet up at Matilda Bay. Great weather, good company, wonderful lunch and many promises to do it again.
Mia and I doing some paddle boarding on the river, it was quite windy that day, but we had been determined to attempt some yoga.
This is the result. Yes, I know that Mia has her leg twice as high as mine, but please note that my leg is straight and not bended!!! Hopefully we get to practice more in calmer weather.
Finally someone took this lovely photo of a group of AOAers off on a cycle ride along the river.
