16/06/2016 – More to see on the Whaleshark Tour

While swimming around once the whaleshark had dived deep someone spotted a Bronze Whaler shark – luckily it was not a hungry one. Plus a lone turtle swum past.

Then one of the crew saw a large lure on the sea bottom and dived down to pick it up.  There was a very small stowaway hiding on the lure – a baby octopus.

Isn’t that cute?  I couldn’t get over the size of this thing, and transparent.

Then it livened up a bit, had lots of photos taken and got put back in the water.

This is what the waves look like from behind the reef, they are crashing forwards.  From the land you can see this long line of waves crashing over the reef.

You can see the beach where I am camping and Cape Range behind that. The swell collects up and sends the waves down onto the reef, the ocean looks pretty formidable from either side.
