A TRIP ON THE LEEUWIN

6/02/2016 – A ride on the ocean waves – Another AOA adventure

Launched in 1986, Leeuwin II is Australia’s largest sail training tall ship and is dedicated to challenging and inspiring people on adventurous ocean voyages.  They also take sightseers out for a 3 hour sail.

Aboard

This particular day there certainly were a lot of tourists, we were falling over each other.

Group

We did manage to get most of the group together for a picture, and yes, I am in there somewhere.

Windsurfer

Amazingly, there was an incredibly skilled windsurfer way out in the deep. He was moving at a very fast pace and having a great time.

Leeuwin

We arrived back at Fremantle Port just on sunset.  A great experience.  It would be cool to actually do a training course and learn to sail it properly.    Sail the Leeuwin
