29/05/2015 – Another Great Action Outdoors Association long weekend
Seen in AOA Trips Calender: – Yet another magnificent weekend filled with lots of activities, so make the most of this last long weekend until late September! We have 6 self-contained timber cottages (no bunk beds either). Activities may include bushwalks, bike rides, kayaking, golf, volleyball, netball, cricket, dart board, pool table, ping pong, visits to the local wineries, cheese factory, beach walks and anything you can think of for a wonderful weekend away. Saturday night there will be a communal meal followed by music and dancing.
First day saw two groups of cyclists heading off to Australind, the quick, strong ones who wanted to cycle all the way to Bunbury and back, and the laid back ones who wanted to ENJOY THE RIDE and had nothing to prove – so guess which group I was in?
I call this “The Cormorant Tree”, the laid back group had time to stop and take photos, lucky us. And what a view.
We also had time to stop and take a photo at Australind.
The next day I put my hand up for a bush walk, another lovely spot.
Here are Julie, Marilyn and Sue, posing at the swampy end of the walk. There was a bird hide, but not many birds.
Well, not ones with wings anyway!!!
Beautiful Templetonia is out in flower at this time of year.
Just to prove that my little car is ‘up for it’, here she is carrying my bike. This car has been fantastic, taken me everywhere I have needed go, very economical and easy to work on – I am very happy with it.
