15/3/2015 – Cottesloe – Sculptures by the Sea
Pam had invited some of us over to her place, near Cottesloe, to view the sculptures early on in the day and then to retire to her abode for breakfast.
To the left of the picture – Lucky Country, to the right – My Home is Your Home.
Showing several of the exhibits – top right – House of Mirrors!
Hearts in Paradise.
Mi No 5 – or as I like to call it – Flamingos.
Way of the Wind – being closely examined by Pam and Kate.
Er – “which way are we going?” From the left, Linda, someone, Lizzie, Wendy, Narelle.
“If we stopped talking we might know where we were going”.
Babies 3 Pieces. One of the most popular sculptures this year, very weird but certainly interesting – especially engaged the children.
The head on view especially different.
Food for Thought – there are always plenty of exhibits making statements about plastics, recycling and sustainability. Old fan housing and plastic piping here.
Man on Ball
This one appealed to me – he looks so peaceful and relaxed.
Sisters. But why is she fishing with a pineapple? I have only just noticed this. Must be from Queensland!
Victory or Revenge
Last but not least I had to stop and have a good look at the paddle boarders the other side of the Groyne. (West Australian for Breakwater).
Then back to Pam’s place for a sumptuous breakfast. Well done and thanks so much.
I made the mistake this year of only visiting the sculptures once, two or more visits make the whole event much more memorable and you get the chance to catch up on the ones you missed the first time.
