Sitting around socializing is always popular, especially in the warm late summer evenings.

Sharing cheese and biscuits, a few glasses of wine and a lot of laughs, one of the many pleasures of AOA weekends away.

Lots of happy, smiling faces.  I think that I win the reddest, shiniest face prize in this photo!  IMG_6159SThe friendly local quokkas are always present, looking for scraps of food and water.  The quokka, the only member of the genus Setonix, is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat. Like other marsupials in the macropod family, the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal.quokka

Very friendly!  They are quite gorgeous, inquisitive and fat.

Des stops to give some quokkas a drink on one of our cycle trips, they appeared to be very thirsty, and were always happy to take some water from us.

There are always a few people on the look out for a game of tennis.  We are not champions but have a lot of fun trying to be.   It’s all good exercise, even if most of the exercise is running after the ball that we miss.

As usual someone managed to get a shot of me with my mouth open!  Just great.
