14/02/2015 – Now we actually see the Giants

As part of the Perth International Arts Festival 2015, the incredible, phenomenal journey of The Giants took to the streets of Perth.

Our first view of the Diver Giant, there is plenty on the web about the story of the Giants, so I won’t go into it here.  Suffice to say that this was a truly unique experience, and I was lucky enough to view it from a boat on the Swan River.

This Saturday evening we were particularly lucky as very few people seemed to have realized that so much would be available from the river. So there were only a few boats and we could actually follow the Diver along the pathway by the river side.

All the while listening to the instructions in French coming over the loud speaker for the helpers who were steering the Giant.

It was a great atmosphere, glad I didn’t miss this.

Off went the Giant, to sleep until tomorrow morning when there was more in store for him.

Following on from this I took some photos of Perth by night.  Love my new camera!
