What would you expect to see on Kangaroo Island?

9/02/2014  Visiting old friends.

It is always lovely to see Liz and Scott, and especially nice to get over to their home on KI.

AND very lucky to be there when a French WWOOFer was practising his culinary skills and we were treated to chocolate tart and french apple tart.

This is the shack where Liz and Scott lived for years before Scott built their stone house.  Now it houses WWOOFers and visitors alike, plus a few bats and various other native wildlife.  A comfy bed and a hot shower ensure a good nights sleep.  You can see that Scott is now extending to the left of the shack and building another bedroom.

But the real excitement for the week was the house party organised to hear Mike McCallum’s songs and music.  The house was duly cleaned and prepared, flags bought in India were hoisted, chai was made and the party was on.

A lovely time was had by all.

Farewell to Liz and Scott for a while, they are going to be cycling Cuba and Canada in a few weeks.  Safe travels and bon voyage.
